Vraag je je af hoe wit licht gemaakt wordt met LED? Of waarom zijn er zoveel verschillende kleuren witte LED? De witte LED is het resultaat van het mengen van het gele licht met blauw licht. Als we in dit geval genoeg fosfor plaatsen om de blauwe LED-chip te bedekken, zal er niet het resterende blauwe licht zijn. Zodat deze led een geelachtig witte led krijgt. Zoals we weten, zit er een blauwe LED-chip in deze fosfor omgezet. Wanneer je het licht aanzet, gaat het blauwe licht naar binnen en verandert fosfor het blauwe licht in geel. Maar als de fosfor niet genoeg is, blijft er blauw licht over, dat zich vermengt met het gele licht dat is gecombineerd tot een wit licht.
